PNOC EC Host Buntis Congress
PNOC EC held a Buntis Congress for mothers and expectant mothers in Cauayan City, Isabela on 30 May 2018. Engr. Joselito R. PNOC EC HOSTS BUNTIS CONGRESS
Cauayan City, Isabela – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the upstream oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government, successfully hosted a Buntis Congress in Cauayan City as part of its Gender and Development (GAD) Commitments in its Coal Operating Contract 122 (COC 122) business area.
This was done incooperation with the Cauayan City Health Office, with 50 mothers and mothers-to-be taking part in the one-day event.
46 professionals, including a physician, dentists, nurses, other medically-allied professionals, and other volunteers helped in making the Congress run smoothly.
Lectures on proper Family Planning, Child Healthcare, and Immunization were delivered. This was followed by free physical examinations and laboratory tests for all the participants.
Culminating the event was a Buntis Pageant, and the distribution of 50 free Buntis Kits for each participant.
