PNOC EC Holds IEC’s for Malangas and Imelda for COC 41 Endorsement

The Imelda Municipal Council welcomed the PNOC EC Contingent led by Mr. Allan Caringal, External Relations Manager (standing in dark shirt), next to Imelda Vice Mayor, and Municipal Council Presiding Officer, Ruth Roble (seated, center).
Zamboanga Sibugay Province (26 September 2019) – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the upstream oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government, conducted two Information, Education, and Communications (IEC) Campaigns in Zamboanga Sibugay Province (ZSP).
ZSP is home to the Company’s Coal Operating Contract 41 (COC 41), which straddles the Municipalities of Malangas and Imelda.
The PNOC EC Contingent, led by Mr. Allan Caringal, the External Relations Manager, and Mr. Federico Galang, the Engineering Services Manager, conducted separate IEC Campaigns for the two Municipalities, explaining in detail the Company’s plans for revisiting and redeveloping COC 41’s Mine 3.
PNOC EC sought Official Resolutions of Endorsement from both Malangas and Imelda in order to carry on with the work for Mine 3. The Company is upbeat that both Municipalities will issue their respective Endorsements soon.
