PNOC EC Celebrates National Women's Month
PNOC EC, helmed by President and CEO, Atty. Pedro A. Aquino, Jr., (left and front, with thumbs up raised upward) celebrated National Women’s Month with a week-long series of activities, culminating in this aerial shot of employees and officers.
Fort Bonifacio Global City (15 March 2019) – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government celebrated National Women’s Month, with a series of activities over the week of 11 to 15 March.
PNOC EC employees and officers took part in several meaningful activities to celebrate women and raise greater awareness on gender issues:
- A film showing of the critically acclaimed documentary, “Walang Rape Sa Bontok”, that included a discussion with the film’s director, Mr. Lester Valle.
- An orientation on the company’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy, facilitated by Atty Keziah Suarez of the Legal Department.
- 1st Aid and Basic Life Support training for household companions and helpers, with Ms. Joy Palma of the Philippine National Red Cross.
- A talk on Prostate Cancer Awareness, with Dra. Chyssa Pauig MD.
Prior to the week-long activities, PNOC EC’s GAD Focal Point System Technical Working Group (GFPS TWG) also completed an intensive two-day workshop for the development of the company’s Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG), facilitate by Ms. Reina Olivar.
