8 February 2021, Fort Bonifacio Global City – PNOC Exploration Corporation, the oil, gas, and coal exploration and development arm of the National Government, once again proved it is a model Government-Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC), garnering a score of 5, the highest possible rating, in its annual Stakeholders Satisfaction Survey.

This marked the third year in a row that PNOC EC earned the coveted highest rating in Stakeholder Satisfaction. The Survey is a requirement of the Governance Commission for GOCC’s (GCG), the chief regulatory agency for all government companies. It serves as a quantitative and qualitative measurement of the performance of the GOCC among its various stakeholders and other important publics.

PNOC EC engaged the services of the University of the Philippines at Los Banos (UPLB), College of Human Ecology anew, to carry out the survey. Prof Maria Emelinda T Mendoza presented the survey results to PNOC EC via online meeting facility this morning.

“Congratulations to PNOC EC, for once again garnering the highest score in the survey this year. I believe this is the third straight year you got the highest rating, starting in 2018, then 2019, and last year,” Prof Mendoza declared.

“We are also pleased to note that in this year’s survey, for the first time, there were no negative ratings given to PNOC EC,” added Prof Mendoza.

This year, 93 respondents were interviewed from late-December 2020 through early-January 2021, in the National Capital Region, where PNOC EC has its Head Office, as well as the Company’s field units in the Province of Isabela and Zamboanga Sibugay Province (ZSP). Among the myriad stakeholders interviewed were Joint Venture Partners, Scholarship Beneficiaries, and Gmelina Farmers.

PNOC EC is a partner in the Malampaya Deepwater Gas to Power Project, the largest foreign investment project in the country. The Company is also looking to operate a Coal Mine-Mouth Power Plant in Isabela, as well as other projects of national importance.
